Q 280 is out!
It features an insightful interview with cover stars - original dance-floor Firestarters, The Prodigy. Plus we recommend the 50 gigs you should see before the end of the decade, chatting to Green Day and Kings Of Leon in the process; the Beastie Boys are on the recieving end of a Q readers inquisition in Cash For Questions and Pop Babylon recounts some of pop's darker moments. Q280 Up-close.
Tracks of the Day
This week we featured a diverse mix of tracks from today's Rob Cowen & The Dissidents, to the Imogen Heap-esque The Good Natured, The Joy Formidable, to one of the best new bands out of Australia - Blackchords, not to mention one of this country's biggest indie hopes for many - Frightened Rabbit, who showcase a more uplifting direction on their new single Swim until You Can't See Land . Over 3 years HMV have asked celebrated artists who inspired them, now in aid of CLIC Sargent they've compiled a select few into a calendar. Bob Dylan picked Robert Burns' 's A Red, Red Rose - O my luve is like a red, red rose, That’s newly sprung in June; O my luve’s like the melodie, That’s sweetly play’d in tune. As fair art thou, my bonny lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry.Pre Order Calendar.
