Offset Festival 2009: 5 Must-See Bands

We're celebrating the nearing end of festival season by asking you to vote for 2009's Band Of The Summer. We want to crown a band (or individual) as the act that truly defined and uplifted the summer through their music and live performances. It's not easy when you remember the highlights: Blur's epic comeback, Dizzee Rascal decimating festivals, Florence and Friendly Fires leaping to new heights, Arctic Monkeys' long-awaited return and the late surge from once-in-a-lifetime supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. Think long and hard, or simply toss a coin - but vote now to have your say.

On NME.COM today: yet more photos from our Reading and Leeds signing tents, our 5 must-see bands at this weekend's Offset Festival, video interviews with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gossip, Lethal Bizzle and more, 10 Tracks To Hear This week, videos from the late, great Steven Wells' wake, plus your chance to win tickets to watch The Cribs perform live at NME HQ.

Have an amazing weekend,

David Moynihan
Editor, NME.COM

Radar: the best new music of the week - first
O. Children - Dead Eye Lover - Free MP3 O. Children - Dead Eye Lover - Free MP3 O. Children; dark, doomy and evil to the no doubt rotten core. Well, what do you expect from a band who've named themselves after a Nick Cave track? 'Dead Eye Lover' is the B-side to their debut single 'Dead Disco Dancer' (we sense a theme here), and is every bit as clever-clever and scary-scary as King Cave himself, but with an added supersonic 'Blade Runner' element and a smidgen of Satanic Joy Division.

Download O. Children's 'Dead Eye Lover' on the Daily Download blog.
