Lethal Bizzle came to visit us this week. Fuck me, I thought we played music loud. When one staff member destroyed the airwaves over south London with the new Editors album the other week it seemed that was as loud as our poor stereo could go. Bizzle stormed in and took it up a notch. Check out the video here.

Once we'd ironed out the crinkles in our eardrums and put our orders in to newcochlea.com, we set about listing the top 20 tracks that demand to be played at ear-splitting volumes. Check out the full list here and offer us your own ideas here.

Meanwhile, the office has seen an abundance of new music this week, not all of it to be played at a million decibels. I, for one, wouldn't want to notch up the Frankmusik debut much beyond silence. But if that rocks your boat you can hear it in full on the site, along with LPs from Wild Beasts and The Twang.

In MP3 world I've been inundated with great new tunes, from a reworked Speech Debelle track (featuring a guest spot from Wiley) to Riton & Primary 1's ace new project. I'd also heartily recommend trying out Memory Tapes and Boy 8-Bit. You can get them all for free on the Daily Download.
