Who Are The Worst Band Of All Time?

It might be the depths of winter, but don't worry, there is a reason to be cheerful: Arcade Fire are returning with a new album in May 2010!

That's not the only comeback to get excited about. Just this morning in the NME office we've had new albums from Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend and Lightspeed Champion on the stereo. And in the magazine this week there's a sneak preview of My Chemical Romance's "explosive, succinct and ambitious" forthcoming fourth record.

Lest you start feeling too upbeat, though, on the blogs today we're debating the saddest songs ever, the worst bands of all time and the lamest puns in rock.

Never let it be said we don't cover all bases on NME.COM...

Radar: the best new music of the week - first
Bicycle Thieves Bicycle Thieves Now that all the 'proper rock'n'roll' bands up north have abandoned lad-rock, they seem to have chanelled their creative urges into blustery, booming, boozy mandie (which is my new term for indie for the older gentleman). Even The Courteeners sound like Elbow now.

Head to the Radar blog this week to grab 'Camera Shy', the B-side to their new single.
